To me, the alleged path interference or superposition in the double slit is a different conceptual problem to that of the collision (or not) of QM (and nature) with local-realism. Quantum mechanics triumphs once again. Of course, such surveys are mostly just for fun — the views of a particular group of experts at one conference don't necessarily reflect the entire quantum physics community. The loophole-closure experiment has been carried out .. In thinking about this question over the last few years, I started to notice that a number of subtle, non-intuitive concepts that I learned many years ago as a physics student seem to apply to the world of big data and information-based predictions in highly complex systems. An advanced treatise is the monograph The Conceptual Development of Quantum Mechanics by Max Jammer (New York: McGraw-Hill, 1966). As a photon particle travels, its electric and magnetic fields vary, but are Artur Eckert, in a 1991 paper, used Bell's Theorem and quantum entanglement to develop a quantum channel over which a key can be securely shared. One of the fundamental concepts of quantum mechanics suggests that particles like photons have properties of both waves (like radio waves) and particles (like concrete objects). While few physicists will be surprised that all three loopholes have now been closed, doing so could be an important step towards developing failsafe quantum cryptography. In terms of physics, while Schrödinger's contribution to the development of quantum physics was pivotal, it ends up seeming like a bit of an aberration, with his late-career turn to dabbling in biology and Vedic philosophy looking a little more typical. Yet physicists still argue about it, some contending that the onetime consensus interpretation (named for Copenhagen, where the Danish physicist Niels Bohr developed it), should be abandoned. If this is to continue, conceptual and technical advances harnessing the power of quantum mechanics in microchips will need to be investigated within the next decade. It is often claimed that quantum mechanics or quantum phenomena disprove the principle of causality or at least cast doubt on whether it is a logically defensible axiom. But eventually it became clear that all these various projects had grossly underestimated the difficulties of developing any kind of AI system based on logic programming and deductive reasoning. He was, however, renowned as an excellent Contemplating the infinite is a much nicer route than contemplating the tawdry, to get on the path of eagerly wrestling with difficult concepts.
